Indian Stills

Indian Stills , is a selection of thirty Large-format portraits and landscapes shot on a Negative Positive/Polaroid T55 9x12 BW during a journey in India. INDIAN STILLS , is a selection of thirty Large-format portraits and landscapes shot on a Negative Positive/Polaroid T55 9x12 BW during a journey in India. The negative was then scanned and printed. This Polaroid film is no longer in production and it is recognizable by the traces of the protective materials to the emulsion edges on the final print. Now Indian Stills is a Limited Edition handmade book. Indian Stills has been exhibited at the Brescia Biennial of Photography in 2008, at Foto- Grafia Rome Festival 2009, Boutographies of Montpellier, Turin Photo Fest 2009, European Photography in Reggio Emilia and at Nehru Center and Gallery 118 in London. Awarded to the SI FEST Savignano Images 2008 honorable mention at IPA Awards 2008 (International Photographic Awards) and the American Photo 2008. Indian Stills images have been included also in various group show as SummerFest Show 2008 at Horst Gallery in London or the Fine Art Photography International Exhibitions at the Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins Colorado, and The Magic of Polaroid at the Center for Photography, Bibbiera (Ar) in 2009 and in London at the Nehru Center and in the 118 Gallery. A special edition of Indian Stills has been realized for a sale to support Pyari an Italian- Indian Onlus, other images were sold in various auctions including one at Weiss Studio in New York for the Urban Zen Foundation of designer Donna Karan or Sotheby's Milan or CAF Onlus.
